Spaceneedles is a four piece rock band from Seattle, Washington. Frontman Thomas Wright (Grand Archives) and drummer Scott Blue have been playing music together since 1994, and founded Spaceneedles in 2011. Second guitarist Ben Kersten and bass player Jim Cotton (Feral Children) round out the group. Spaceneedles burst onto the Seattle music scene in 2011 with their blend of 90′s grunge/post-rock and snarling live show. They self-released their first EP ‘Olive Towers’ in June, 2012.

“Low Ceilings” Released
Last Saturday, we celebrated the release of our new single “Low Ceilings” with a super-sophisticated rock/art show. With the lovely Gallery 1412 playing host and the sweet sounds of “S” warming hearts, the evening quickly became a gathering of friends old and new. A heartfelt thank you to everyone that came out to take part in the celebration of our collective work. A super special thank you to Jordan, Steven and Mike for helping create a wonderful night and our new baby 7″, thank you all.
Limited Edition 7″ with Previously Unreleased Song
This past October Spaceneedles decide to duck back into the studio to record some new songs. With our own Ben Kersten twisting the knobs, we produced our new single, “Low Ceilings.”
We collaborated with local artists Michael Dellinger, Steven Williams, and Mike Dixon to produce just 50 limited edition, individually collaged, 7″ vinyl records. And, we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. Hand-cut on two lathes in Olympia, WA, these one-sided, square, clear vinyl records are truly one of a kind.
Come celebrate our collective hard work and the pieces themselves with an art & rock show! With our friends “S” (featuring Jenn Ghetto). Spaceneedles 7″ record release party and art show — March 16, 2013 — Gallery 1412 on Capitol Hill. Yeah!
